My Naughty Cat

My cat likes to stalk and pounce

My cat likes to walk and bounce

He thunders all around the house

Chasing his old clockwork mouse

He climbs upon the curtain pole

He nuzzles in the fresh fruit bowl

He pulls the carpet on the stairs

And blunts his claws on dining chairs

He runs and skips on kitchen tops

He steals things, like fish and chops

He sheds his fluff just everywhere

Smart trousers full of kitty hair

A mess around the house is seen

In every place my cat has been

My cat, he lives up to his name…

That’s why I called him Furricane!
