Pretty Kitty’s Ditty

Once I met a kitty

with a little face so pretty

that I had to write a ditty

right away…

I wrote about her stripy fur.

I wrote about her hearty purr.

I wrote about her eyes so bright,

About her whiskers long and white.

I wrote about her dainty paws,

With pinky pads and tiny claws.

Her tail swishing to and fro…

I wrote it down so she could know

What a pretty little kitty

little kitty was indeed.

“But alas,” said little kitty,

“I’m a cat – I cannot read!”
